Call for responses to the UK Government’s Consultation on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Farore Law supports One Loud Voice’s campaign to amplify awareness of, and encourage submissions to, the UK Government’s Consultation on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace.

The Consultation aims to gather evidence about whether the current laws on protecting people from sexual harassment in the workplace are effective. It is split into two parts: (1) a set of “quick and easy” online questions; and (2) a more technical document inviting views on the details of the law. (Both look at the same issues with a different level of detail.)

Responses are particularly encouraged from the following:

  • those who have experience of sexual harassment or other types of discrimination at work;

  • those who are (or used to be) volunteers/interns and have experience of sexual harassment or any other type of discrimination;

  • those who have managed or supported someone who has experienced sexual harassment or other types of discrimination at work; and

  • those who have thought about taking a case of any type of discrimination or harassment to an employment tribunal, whether or not they decided to in the end.

Such individuals are asked to response to the Consultation questionnaire, available here.

Organisations are also welcome to respond to the technical document, as available here.

The closing date for responses is 2 October 2019.
